Default question about lexus v8s

Does anyone know the differences between the 4.3 V8 and the 4.7 V8? I am basically just curious if they are cast iron or aluminum blocks.

Thanks,

Ethan

Ethan, the best I can remember, both blocks are iron, but aren't they both 2-bolt mains? (I know the 1UZ is 6-bolt, it's so overbuilt in there, I couldn't believe it) I'm sure Todd Matsubura 'DoubleWhoosh' will hop on here to confirm that, he's building a TT 4.0 unibody car, and a 4.7 tube frame car, he knows the "big block" Lexus motors real well. By the way, did you end up going with the TT manifold w/ SP upper? Hope you've been making good progress w/ the stroker, looking forward to seeing some dyno/timeslips, i'll call Paisley and ask him about the 4.3 and 4.7 if Todd doesn't answer.

Thanks for the info. Anything else you learn would be appreciated.

As far as the manifold, we are just making a custom intake manifold. We are still waiting on Crower for the stroker kit. I am honestly not that happy with my experience with them so far, and they are in the process of losing what would have been a repeat customer. I won't get into that until I actually get my stroker kit though
