Can anyone hear fuel pump whine through speakers?
Just curious if anyone out there can hear their fuel pump switch from 6v to 12v depending on throttle position through the speakers of the stereo. It sounds like a low pitch whine at 0-20% throttle and high pitch whine 20% to WOT and can only be heard on low volume. I am assuming that I am hearing this because I have an aftermarket amp in the trunk?

rewire your sound system. engine whine is mainly caused by cheap rca's, speaker wire running next to power, and occasionally bad grounds. when i did my system(headunit, F/R components, 4ch amp, sub amp, sub, XM, ipod) i rewired everything.
one thing i like doing when running rca's is to run the remote wire with it9obvious choice) BUT also run an extra wire that you ground behind the radio next to the remote and also ground at the amp ground.
make sure all your connections are good. i have done a lot of fixed before(while working for Circuit City) where bad connections caused undesired operation.
