Did an A/C test....
Just did a diagnostic trouble code check on the A/C display unit and the codes 21 and 23 started to blink. Code 21 designates an open or short in the solar sensor circuit and code 23 designates an open in the pressure sensor circuit and abnormal refrigerant pressure. So is this test trying to say there is a leak in the A/C system or is it just electrical? How can I fix this without having to spend hundreds at the dealer? I had my system recharged 2 years ago and now it doesn't work.

Checkout the footnotes:

Code 21 may be normal if the test was done in a dark area.
Code 23 is probably preventing your ac from working.

I have codes 21 & 23..The compressor doesn't engage for me.
The pressure sensor sends a signal to the compressor lock switch to not engage if the freon level drops too much or is overcharged.
I'm going to have the freon measured then top'd up to see if the compressor will engage. If the compressor doesn't engage when I know the freon is full, I'm betting on the compressor lock switch or pressure sensor switch.
