All Aluminum Radiators - All the same or what? And does the Egg Trick work?

I do not recommend any leak stopping additives
Adding particles to your cooling system is a no no
Sure, it might stop the leak temporary, maybe even solve it altogether, but you have to remember - THAT STUFF IS CIRCULATING THRU THE WHOLE COOLANT SYSTEM. What stops the leak at the radiator will also collect at low flow parts of the coolant system, like the heater core, edges of the thermostat housing and small low flow coolant hoses. I learned that mistake personally on a ford econoline van where I just wanted to stop a small lower radiator leak. Ended up clogging the whole line going to the overflow tank (I did add it to the radiator itself) and the cooling system overpressurized and separated the top end tank. The clog had the consistancy of a dirt & sand mix and compressed air couldn't even get that stuff out!
And just last month my cousin spent 6 hours flushing the cooling system of a Catera where the owner used two bottles! That stuff just kept oozing out. Originally, the car had a small annoying leak that progressed over a LONG period of time, but I found out the heater core burst not long after the second bottle was added. Hmmn, replace radiator or replace heater core
Anyway, use at your own risk. If you just HAVE to use it, PLEASE, flush your cooling system like there's no tomorrow! I can imagine residual pockets of that stuff can create dangerous hotspots in your engine down the line when your cooling system is taxed to its limits.
