having an issue with the clutch. i installed new clutch pedal assembly and new master cylinder, still using the old slave cylinder. 1st after depressing the clutch it wont spring it self back up. so i bled the lines several times. 2nd i pulled the slave cylinder out and when the clutch is depressed(to the floor) the slave shaft only moves about 1/4-1/2 inch. shouldnt it extend more the that?

Looks like its coming along good. I'm two days in and going to be pulling my old motor tomorrow....hopefully. It looks like yours is coming along really great though.
Quick question too, how did you go about disconnecting the driveshaft from the transmission?

1:drop the exhaust 2: remove small cross member under the driveshaft (6 bolts) 3: remove 3 bolts at the back of driveshaft. 4: then the two bolts holding the bushing connecting your front and rear driveshaft. 5: after driveshaft is free push it towards trans then pull back of the shaft towards the ground. i can doctor up a picture if u need it.

Thanks man. And for the bolts at the back of the driveshaft, if I have the car in gear, should the driveshaft be turning when I try to loosen the bolts?

well... if you have the rear of the car jacked up then put the car in park and put the E brake. but if the car is on the ground it shouldnt matter what gear your cars is in and it shouldnt move. IDK i cant fully understand whats your saying tho because your driveshaft shouldnt be moveing. the only reason your tires would be moving when you touque the bolts is if your rear end is jacked up, but you can fix that by just putting it in park.

Default clutch problem

listen to this video and tell me what you think.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8En82CWqzs
sometimes when i shift out of a gear i hear a grinding sound coming from my trans. i think it is clutch related because when i release the clutch in neutral the grind sound goes away. i adjusted the clutch and it did nothing. it sounds like a grind or rubbing. maybe clutch or throwout bearing?

Default update

i am finished i have everything but my temp gauger working. i have read up on your 330ohm resister mod and your ik2 plug mod, but MY ik2 plug isnt like the ik2 plugs i have seen in the temp gauge writeups. i am pretty sure that the brown/black wire i have in MY ik2 plug is the ground for my temp gauge but just want to get some feedback.
Thanks for everything
