SC400 high pressure hose parts HELP!
I am looking to see if I can locate the two pieces in the these pictures. One I believe is the air control valve and the other is the end piece of the high pressure hose that connects to the power steering pump. I have been able to locate the ACV and it is about $80 but the other piece is apparently only available by purchasing the entire hose that is about $400

Try Gazi Ali or others in the SC400/300 for sale forums for the high pressure hose.
As for the valve, it is prone to failure (think there have been quite a few threads on this). Mine failed over a year ago, and just plugged it with a metric oil pan plug (2or 3 bucks). Also plugged the two vacuum holes where the hoses ran into the intake.
The valve increases rpm when turning at idle to prevent the steering pump load from causing an engine stall. After plugging it, did not notice any possibilty of stalling, so just left it plugged. If not plugging it, I would go with a new one since they fail after a while anyway.

It does not matter how it broke since the whole piece is trashed. You can plug the hole in the pump with a threaded plug (could not find a matching plug from hardware store so used a metric oil pan plug from an auto parts store) totally replacing that valve with a plug. Then plug the vacuum holes in the intake that went to the old valve tube connections.
If not plugging it, you can buy a new one and plug the hoses back into it. Hope this make sense.
Good Luck,
Tim

I have done this several times and got a good looking, easy to install hose for 1/4 of the price.

dx3 is right. These hoses are easily repaired for under $50, Just physically remove the entire power steering house setup. Locate a commercial hydraulic hose and fitting repair shop in your area using Google, hydraulic hose fitting repair and your city. Make sure they have metric fittings. I personally wouldn't say its from a Lexus as it makes no difference to them what the hell it is.
btw, you did search before you started this re-hash thread, right===>
