My brother has it on his 95. I'll check out my 93 later. I hate Cali emissions.

Soooo... correct me if I am wrong but hasn't LexusFTW answered your question? Gotta love how noone takes into consideration the guy that has built (IMHO) the baddest lexus on CL. Eh? O and not to mention hes a moderator at Club NA-T and knows these things like the back of his hand.

That is a calispec VSV for the FPR. there's info about it in the N/A Supra TSRM floating around. I bet you have 4-wire O2 sensors as well. What else do you want to know? If you have a Calispec ECU, then you're stuck with this stuff; its one of the great things about buying cars designed for the socialist state

Hey bean, well I wanted to know, can this cause gross polluter smog readings if my vsv is hacked up? and im guessing if my vsv is hacked up, it explains bad idle when fully warmed?... let me know, thanks!

Yeah a hacked up VSV could cause big idle problems. If its a idle issue, you can bet you wont pass smog. I'm no smog expert since I dont live there (and never will for these reasons) but if its misfiring or stumbling, then you're putting out uncombusted material mixed with other crap, so you can bet it will be expelling SOMETHING.

It also may fail a visual if someone knows what they're looking at. Maybe, possibly, replace the FPR (if its different) with a regular model and get rid of the VSV (if the ECU doesnt have something to do with it).

Careful though, I'd ask a smog expert But yes, it can cause some issues if its not hooked up right (as can any VSV).
