Default Redline Auto tranny fluid...Anyone using this product in their auto SC?

Need to change the auto tranny fluid in my 98 SC300. I have always loved Redline fluids and have used them in all my cars. Has anyone ever used Redline Auto tranny fluid in their SC? If so, did you like the results?

don't only use toyota oils/fluids in soarer unless you like to rebuild trans, diff every 60,000 - 80,000 KMS

shifts will be harsh, trans could slip, not change up or down when supposed to.

Do you have first hand experence using Redline Auto tranny fluid in your SC? If so, did you change and refill fluid by the book? Proof that IT WAS the fluid that caused the breakdown? Did you use Redline Diff fluid in your diff as well? Currently, just put Redline Differential fluid in my diff....now you have me concerned.....Redline products ARE RACE PROVEN and are VERY high quality products, check out there website. Plenty of great results with these products on all the car forums....anyone care to chime in?

an apprentice mechanic who worked at a well known aussie car manufacturer as a service technician put a certain brand of oils after being told this will fix the problem in his car by a sales rep. and even when told by some well known toyota mechanics went through a brand new set of clutch packs and ruined 2nd and 1st shift soleniods in 10,000kms due to very very hard shifts.

when he had to rebuild for the 3rd time, the trans mechanic said if i see this car again im charging triple the amount

famous words: your car not mine

dwebb99, i appologise for the previous post No.4 it was my brother and not myself personaly.

I hope that no offence was taken by the posting.

this is what i get for leaving my login on another computer across town, will not happen again!!

My brother is a qualified mechanic who own's a fully worked sc300 which the previous owner (70 year old lady) who "did" put redline oil in the car. (has reciepts from mechanic)

When he brought the car it was stock standard. even when it was off boost the trans was slipping not changing up or down gears correctly and having a very harsh shifting, it was caused by not putting the type 4 or dexron trans fluid.

The problem is there are so may specs for ATF. It seems like almost every manufacturer has there own spec these days. Honda, Type f, ATF+3, ATF+4, Toyota, chrysler, the list goes on for days.

If it says it works with all autos, thats just flat out wrong. Each spec has different friction modifiers ect in it, and they are not interchangeable. I know that there is a product called "lube guard" that comes in different color bottles for the different apps that is supposed to turn the "general" atf like mobile one into what a car actually needs that is recommended by John at IPT (famous for making DSM A/T's handle high hp).
