the sensor can be tested with a multimeter and ecu can be sent out to be checked for like 20 bucks but why do you think your ecu gone bad? because there are ways to check if the ecu went to toast depending on what your problem is

well my car won't start and when I try to pull cel the engine light stays on constantly I did some checking under the hood and found a wire that had been rubbing against the serpentine belt and was grounding out. after fixing that problem the car still doesn't start and I still can pull cel codes. the grounded wire seems to come from the bottom of the housing for the cap and rotor so I thought it might be to a sensor that's gone bad but not being able to pull codes makes we wonder if the short didn't somehow fry the ecu
