Well that sucks, i thought that almost all cars, even outside the US came with OBDII. That sucks...time to move out here to the midwest lol!

Nice clip. I am about to take my on. I am collecting all the parts right now and then will buy the engine.

Well it just depends on what county you are in since the county I live in do not require the sniffer for inspection. Plus, I have a buddy's shop that does my inspection.

On OBDII instead they plug into the OBDII connector port in your dash and check engine diagnostics to see if there are any trouble codes pending in the ECU. Based on that they pass or fail it.
As for the 2JZ VVTi being OBD II it is but apparently requires some software to retreive information don't know what's up with that

TURBO819 does your modified harness work with the OEM OBD II connector on your car?

Yours is a 95 so it is OBDI. OBDI wasn't as standarized as OBDII so they just do a sniff test on those vehicles to make sure they pass.

I am wondering if I am going to have to pay a visit to a friend after my install.

No the harness does not work with the OEM OBD II connector on in my car
I am going to POST two pictures of the ECU's (Aristo & SC300)

On the SC300 it seems like that's the OBDll Plug Port.
That's the only difference between the two ECU's

Most OBDII Supras/SC's I see with AEM/EMS they all rock dealer plates which allows them to be emissions exempt. However, sometimes the emissions facility will actually fault their own system after plugging into the OBDII port getting no information or data collection, therefore letting you pass. Still risky though in my opinion. Then there is always the guy you can slip a 50 to at the service station to waive your emissions etc.

Emissions
You can pass OBDll Emissions if you were to use the 2jzge vvti ECU with a piggy back ECU like the (Greddy E-Manage Ultimate) and have no CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I did not want to go that route because I want that Factory Tune

nice job, did you have to use the supra tt front sway bar to clear the stock supra tt intercooler piping or does the stock sc front sway bar work? my 2jzge has been removed and is awaiting my gte to go in.

Well so far it clear the stock Sway Bars. It seem secure but I have yet to take it for a test drive.
