no im not kidding... a auto car comes with a slushbox the engine's power has to travel through slush box or oil..most people dont wnt to go manual .. so u get a shirt kit its uhmm its liek being in two gears at once..when shifting up. It's known as shift overlap. Shift kits reduce or eliminate the shift overlap and speed up actuation of the shift, hence the harder feel to the shift. A shift kit will reduce wear because you won't have the trans trying to be in two gears at once........The shift kit makes it PRN123 from front to back, and putting it in 3rd makes the tranny go into 3rd. Unlike 'Drive' starts in 1st, and climbs "Automatically" to 3rd. Whatever gear you pick, it goes there and stays, like a manual

hmm, I never knew they made anything like that. I'm guessing you would need to bypass something of the cars, but on stock ecu with the bypass module it will work. I remember there is a module for the dsm's that do that. Definetly if you find something like that for our cars make a post! and Thanks, this is actually a thread from last year, the swap didn't exactly turn out as I planned. It's now single turboed

Thanks! and the remember that once you get the swap in if you are planning on going single, you are screwed, much easier to get to the bolts with engine out. That and if you get an aristo make sure to remove the turbos piping so you can get to the turbines and spray a bunch of wd40 and spin them to break them loose. Had this issue with me and didn't know to do that so i had a pool of oil in my IC.

i think i get what ur saying. its call a manual valve body. whenu order ur performance auto trans they will most likely come with a manual valve body. especially if its like a th400,350 or powerglide.

I think this is way low to do this swap. If you only plan on spending 3k go with a 1jz. Just my 2 cents

ive thought about the 1jz but i like the 2jz more. I believe it can be done for 3k just to get it running right. Its not gonna be only 3k that ill be dumping into the car, its just to get it goin until i have enough to do other things.
