i dont think its your pedal, its the clutch adjustment in the tranny. im no expert but it should disengage way before your pedal hits the floor.
read sc400tt's thread on his 6spd swap on his 400. it shows stuff in great detail and how he used spacers and custom stuff to adjust the clutch/fork and whatnot. maybe something will jump out at ya.

Ali, it's supposed to work as a drop in though. Also, nobody had to put anything else in there from all the people who did the swap. I don't know man, it beats me and i'm very frustrated.........

97 SC300, Do you know if the disk needs to be attached in a certain way, in my case i just put it on the input shaft and bolted the pressure plate to the flywheel, but obviously it doesn't seem to work. The weird thing is once i loosened the bolts, it was easy to slide the shifter into gear again <when the car is off> which makes me think there's something wrong with my disk/plate setup annd somehow that screws up the positioning of gears!!!! By the way, if you need anything on your swap prior to that point just let me know.....

there is one way to install the clutch disk. one side of the clutch is smooth and streight and the other has an extended input shaft hub.
the smooth side or streight side needs to face the engine. hope that makes sence. hey what did you do about the crossmember. can you post a pic? i want to see if you needed to mod the bolt holes.

Yeah, that's the way i installed my disk!!! My car is a 98, somebody said 92-97 crossmembers are the same for auto and manual and it should fit the R154. in my case, there was no way < maybe smebody put out the wrong info, or my car was different> But the member was off by 1/2 inch, so i did was drill out the mount holes and the member holes to offset them by 1/4 inch in opposite direction and it fit right in. I'll try to figure out how to post a pic and i'll put it up here....

well if tinkering with that cross member doesnt work... i had my fare case of that same tranny problem.. i couldnt shift into gear or out without extreme force but i would start it in gear and that gear would work well.. and i drive around my back yard.. i found out when i took the cluth off i dropped a bolt between the pressure plate and flywheel... it only took my 4 times in and out of the vehicle to figure what i did wrong.. it was the bolt to hold the clutch assembly on, i knew i lost one bolt so i just put another one on the clutch assembly not thinking if the bolt went inside the clutch...it was on my jeep but same problem.

man, that's bad news about needing to offset it by 1/4 of an inch because that barely leaves any sidewall room for it to be sturdy enough to hold the bolt. I see there's 4 holes, the rear two should be no problem to offset them towards the front, but those front 2 will be really risky.

The tranny shifted fine and i even rotated the input shaft in all gears and it was perfect, but once i bolted the pressure plate it became hard to put in gear < the car is off> then when i turn the car on, it won't go in gear, but if i start it in gear it would roll fine no noise or anything...........

I went again and took a close look < again> and here's a question: Is the pressure plate supposed to be pressing on the disk at all times? I saw the base of the pressure plate in contact with the disk at all times, and even with the protrusions where the bolts go, they don't make up for the thickness of the disk, which means that the disk has no choice but to rotate with the pressure plate!!!! And that's why the wheels rotate even when the shifter is in neutral WTH What's goin'on here? Did they give me the wrong clutch combo?
