Yeah, just got dne with putting the tranny on, too tired to finish. The clutch disk has springs on both sides though, the only hint i can think of is the disk hitting the flywheel bolts, that's why it had scratches,i shoulda caught the clearance prob. if nothing comes up, it should be running tomorrow....... thnx guys, really......

Got it, lesson learned lol. 97 I'll get a pic for you as soon as i can, just be patient with me since i now have to catch up with a lot of crap. I drove the car to class today, that R154 is one noisey tranny < maybe having the auto opening un-patched has something to do with it> .. Now my check engine light is on <98 sc> so i gotta figure out how to deal with this, blinkers don't work , i also gotta wire the reverse light... i defintely feel the short gears, so that's gotta go soon LOL THnx for your help guys....

do u have everything plugged in in terms of the center console like the radio, climate control, etc? i'm not sure which one but most likely the hazard light button if not plugged, will not allow for turn signal function. i know when i had everything removed, signals would not work.

Regarding the crossmember holes, if it gives any idea, drill out the holes till the edge of the bolt head is lining up with the edge of the crossmember. Remember, you have to drill the mount holes also, but in the opposite direction.

I tried that but it didn't work, the holes are about 3/4" far from the holes on the car, but again, my car is a 98 which supposedly has different crossmembers than 92-97...

that's the word on the forum, so i can't vouch for it. Somebody said the auto and manual part# are the same for 92-97, i got a 97 W58 mount and 98 auto crossmember and they don't fit, so go figure....
