SC400 custom 2.5 inch exhaust with Magnaflow
#17
I haven't had time to paint the rest of the exhaust yet. I still plan to, eventually.

I do not plan on a cutout, I think I have plenty of flow the way it is. I do have enough leftover pipe to make some turnouts, from the center muffler, to exit in front of the rear wheelss. I've thought about doing it for track use.

id say tahts a pretty freaking nice job for never welding in your life. It would be nice if you made replicas for other people purchase. The magnaflow exhausts sound awesome! Now if someone would make headers for the damned car. Wheres a vid of this beast?

Went back to the 1/8 track tonight. I have to say based on tonight's runs and the last time I went, my car is 100 times more consistent since installing the exhaust. My times used to swing around pretty wildly, half a second or more sometimes. Now I'm only off by a couple of tenths at most.
Only ran 3 times.
8.455 @ 85.222
8.663 @ 83.804 This run is slow because I let off a little before the 1-2 shift hoping to prevent bouncing off the rev limiter. Didn't bounce but ran slower.
8.431 @ 85.224 with a 1.88 60ft! This is a new record for the car.
I know I can go faster, the track was very busy tonight. Took me 2+ hours to get the 3 runs in.

I like the use of the muffler as an X-pipe. And the stock tips really finish it off. I like the unassuming character of how your car is setup, very cool. You mentioned you wouldn't mind if it were actually a little louder. I actually drove my SC400 straight off the headers for about 1/4 mile once to move it down the street and it was really not very loud at all. These motors seem to have a really tight flow pattern.
