Turbo?

So heres the rap so far, 2 days ago, the car died, and at first it was the battery. After changing the battery and trying to start up the car, where the battery is located positive and negative, Sparks were flying.. so something shorted out. i returned the battery on where i bought it from and they gave me a full refund, but now im stuck and the car refuses to start. I have the accessories going and everything, but it willl not turn over. Right now the car is in the shop here in sudbury ontario. And the mecanic can not figure out what is wrong with the car, he's checked everything but since its a car from over sea's he does not have any diagrams of the car. The vehicle is a 1991 Toyota Soarer we've gone threw all the fuses and all of them are fine, we had to soder the one fuse for the accessories, so that works now, just to test out whats wrong.. we suspect maybe the fuel pump is gone on it, but we still have no clue what is wrong with it, we may think that the new Security system is interfearing with it but we're not 100% positive, this is a realy good mecanic does ANYONE have any idea what it can be?

i had the same thing happen to me (battery reversed)

make sure all fuses are good and see about replacing the igniter. my car would turn but not fire. my issue was the igniter.
