I found this pic while searching.
What is that tank that was taken out?

That's the thread
I like having that much extra space!

Bumping this old thread to get some help on EGR tube.
I am currently trying to change valve cover gasket and I need to remove EGR tube in the rear section of the engine. Those of you who did EGR deletes or valve cover gasket, how the heck did you get to those two bolts that are holding the EGR tube?! There's virtually no space to put hands in!
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, broda805.
For future reference, I found putting fuse box near master cylinder aside to be very helpful when reaching for EGR tube. Here are some pictures..
The fuse box:
Unclip and slide..
Now there's enough space to have some leverage..
..to get to this!
Hope this helps others when doing valve cover gasket or EGR delete.

remove the emissions components...
remove the vacuum lines that ran to those components...
caps the lines where these vacuum lines used to be...
place the block off plates in place...
tighten all the nuts and bolts you took loose...
go to napa and get something to seal the hole from your egr tube...
congratulations. you have now successfully removed your emi bull****, and cleaned up your engine bay. your car, in all likelyhood, runs better after this **** is gone.

I have a question about unplugging the harness on the EGR while the car is running (have a 1uzfe, but I imagine the principle is the same). What kind of effect should this have on the idle? When I unplug mine, I have no change in idle (i'm trying to diagnose and idling issue). Sorry for hijacking the this thread, but I was hoping it might be an easy answer.
