well igot the lower intake out but looking at the starter, it looked almost impossible to remove those rear bolts. i found that banjo bolt though, it was towards the middle of the transmission, no where near the starter/flywheel. im gonna put everything back together and see if it will start.

If you can bypass the electrical and jumper the starter. Does it sound like it grinding inside the starter itself when you tryed to start it before? I have heard a good amount of bad 1uz starters. If the noise coming from it if that is case the bearing inside for the output shaft is going bad. It won't fully engage the flexplate and spin halfway. Don't waste 4 hours again putting it back together and then take it back apart. To get those back bolts off you need to take off the coolant bridge on the back and pull back the wiring harness. To remove the bolts you need to use a closed end 6 point flexhead 14mm racheting wrench. That works perfect and is mentioned on taking the starter out. Hopefully you saved yourself some time.

So do you have it back together? Did the motor turn over or was it it just the starter spinning? Is the car running ,but with the noise cause I am left field now.If it is running with the nosie the starter is rubbing against the flex plate teeth and the starter needs to be changed out. REDPHOENIX had that issue with the knocking sound when it was running and the starter wasn't fully back in. It kept hitting the flex plate and we changed it again and it worked! Let me know the situation and then we can get somewhere lol.Later>>>>

There should be 3 or 4 nuts holding the harness in on the coolant bridge. Once you get those off you should be able to move the harness out of the way.Then you have to remove the coolant bridge. If I remember you need a ratchet extension to get to the coolant bolts. 4 bolts total with that. Now you can pull the starter out. Then you can use that flex head ratchet I mentioned before. There are the 2 mounting bolts on the back that need to be removed along with the power wire to the starter. The rest should be pretty easy. Once you get the starter out put the car in neutral and move the crank so you can see the flex plate move. Then you can check to see if the flex plate is damaged for the starter hitting it.
