white smoke is usually a bad headgasket, if it's running rich you usually get black smoke. I'd say before you post up on the forums asking for help, you should probably pull your codes and find out what they are.

Also, this should be in the tech section, it'll probably get moved.

1985zcar has some good info but some not correct. if you do a cold start in the morning and there is white smoke it could just be condensation comming out of the exhaust. if it does smell like fuel and you have bad fuel economy and you have a check engine light replace your o2 sensor and thats probably your issue.

Could be condensation it could be coolant. Check you coolant reservoir and see if the level noticeably drops after a couple days. If you end up running out then you might have a head gasket issue. Check your codes and see if it isn't a 02 sensor. It might be and it could be caused by the coolant getting on the o2 sensors and leading to them failing. Check the codes then post what you found.

Replace the o2's sensors and with the ignition not so sure. Don't know what part of the ignition system it is referring too.

Ignition has to do with spark from your plugs. Maybe your not having complete combustion or non at all in one cylinder or more. There are some area's that could be whats causing the trouble code.

*this is straight from the repair manual for 93 sc300 on troubleshooting a code 14*

1) wiring (open, short) in the circuit between the ecu and igniter

2) igniter and/or ignition coil

3)ECU

First check for spark in all cylinders. If you have spark look for an open in the harness. If you don't move on to testing voltage leading to the igniter and ecu.

I know this is rather vague, and you need at least a voltmeter to test for voltage. I also suggest buying the repair manual for your car if you plan to do any troubleshooting/maintenence.

If you are not comfortable with doing any of these, I would take it to a mechanic.

Good call cause I was thinking the ignition to actually start the car for a second.lol I am out of it today for some reason. Check for spark from all sources plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Pretty much explained by LEMMIEWINK (thanks for the assist ,dur dur)lol.

You're not wrong. The ignition system is the system that ignites the fuel which, of course, allows you to star the car. What I just described is a problem that is electrical in nature. You were pointing out the problems that are mechanical in nature. (i.e. cap and rotor)
