Default CF Hood shocks installed.

i just received two set of CF hood shocks for the Sc.
I have been waiting for a while for them.
The hood bulges in middle a bit.

PM me if you want to know the source.

Dang man no way I'd do that to my Seibon CF hood. That bulge is about as bad as the stock ones were for me. That's terrible and is only going to worsen the quality and look of the hood over time. I'd go back to a prop rod for the time being if it were me. That's just not good. Very unfortunate that it didn't end up working as well as it should have. I was hoping to find somethin to work with mine. Guess It's back to searching for me.

Tein does not make them and they have no desire to make them.
I even told them I have Tein Flex with EDFC on both my Z and SC.
Their customer service SUCKS!

Mike is still working on them.
My hood is open for now.

TJ, it might work out for you.
Seiban is better quality hood than VIS but it's little bit heavier than VIS.

I will update on progress.

Those rims look really good with your paint color. What color is that?

Mike @ Figs Engineering (http://www.figsengineering.com/) sent another set for the CF hood.
I think they look good and hood closes flush.
Let me know what you think.

The kit consists of two small extention brackets and two struts. These are at the fine line of support and hood flex with aftermarket CF hoods. I wish I could make the hoods stronger, this is one reason why the GS is such a tough application as well.

I know.. what's the difference? I was thinking if you can use the stock ones it'll probably lift up by itself, Lol.. I'm looking into buying a CF hood also but can you tell me how's the fitment? I will have 1 coat of paint on it too so that it matches my car color. Does any one with a CF hood notice a difference when driving? Is it significantly lighter than the original hood?

Yes, the issue with the stock shocks is that they will bend the hood when it is closed. Its not a matter of what will hold it up...most CF hoods are not well made and the support is rather flexible, so that is the way it is.

I'll take a set. I have a seibon cf hood. Do you make any other racing/aero products for the sc/supra community?

Sorry for the double post but I figured this was a better place to ask after the fact
