Depends on the duty cycle... That turbo is way to big IMO for those power numers. YOu coudl make those numbers with a 60mm and it woudl spool twice as fast and be alot more fun. 400hp is nothign for that turbo!

Go here for injector sizing...

http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php4

Change bsfc to .65 for a turbo car and type in all your info. I's say 850cc+ And dual walbro pump setup if oyu want to use that huge **** hair dryer you got.

Problem is after your making all that power your drivetrain is gonna fry. YOu'll need 4 grand worth or tranny to hold up to teh power.

I'd stick to 500hp and under. Buy a 63-66mm turbo and an alky injection kit and keep the 525 injectors.. You'd be happier.... IMO.

a t76 on a 1j? damn! that thing must spool late as hell

on a side note i went to that link above and put in what i made with my accord a few years back and injectors i had.

my old setup.

it was a na 4 cyl but turbo'd
to the fly i was making around 650hp and i had 800cc injectors. my duty cycle was 89%

but when i entered my info on that site it said i needed 1100cc injectors for the same thing... somethings off.

Link works 89% is high for duty cycle 80% is safe.

Mike,

Hell yes you'd need bigger injectors, that's a big turbo you're feeding and 550's would not handle it at any kind of boost. Add to that the fact that it would hit lean a/f at the moment the mid-large turbo came out of lag mode. Like perhaps all at once and bang.

Forcefeed post is quite accurate. Your turbo size and h.p. numbers are out of wack. The driving experience would be something like this: ...lag...wait....wait...lag....wham ! And perhaps that's what your after, your preference is not stated. A T76 is not a snail of choice for a 1j.

I am at the tranny limit with my T61. It hits very hard at ~4200 to redline and has noticable boost at ~3200. I am making the numbers you seek with a much more drivable turbo.

A big *** front mount intercooler is not necessary and only contributes to lag. The 24x12x3 I have is more than capable. I don't know what you'd call a big FMIC. I'd rather no one see it or call attention to the fact that my SC300 has this stuff on CA roads.

Have you installed 550cc injectors? I ask because the 1JZ does not come stock with 550cc injectors - more like 370cc from what I've been told. I know that some people have made 475whp with 550cc injectors and smaller turbos ( with a piggyback ECU, too ).
