So I gave my SC a BFI, basically just a cut out of the whole front of the airbox leaving the filter exposed. Reset my battery and thus the ECT. Now the car pulls like a freak. But after like a second WOT, the car pops a CEL. Turning off, turning on the car again and CEL goes away.
What do you guys think? Some hoses loose? Engine leans out too much at WOT? How do I get the code read?
Some of those auto stores may not offer that service anymore. What year is your SC? If it is OBD1 you can follow this: http://www.troublecodes.net/Lexus/
My guess is that the MAF sensor is getting confused by the increased airflow. Try cleaning the MAF and see if the CEL comes on with the next WOT.
It doesn't come on all the time that gets me. But I'll try cleaning the MAF, it's due for a clean up anyway. But otherwise, it should read fine since I reset the battery multiple times, and this MAF is capable of reading boost up to a couple psi.

P/S tiny hose is loose no matter how I shove it, and the PCV is really hard to slide on, I have it half way on but I think it's sufficient.
