injen intake
i tried searching but i couldnt really get a specific answer to my questions...
for the injen intake on our sc's, did all of them make that whistle sound?
also are all of them the same? [no different versions?] cause some are labled short ram and some not, but essentially they are all CAI's yes?
thanks

I know that mine does. Almost sounds turbo-like.
I believe that the only version out there made by injen is the short ram version. As long as you leave the stock snorkel in the bumper it acts like a CAI. (funneling the air right to the filter)

but i was trying to figure out what makes the sound
so you have the injen intake kit but swapped the injen cone filter for a k&n cone filter? and where did you get the carb #? haha

my injen short ram makes a whistle sound. thats a good question though - what exactly makes that sound? before i installed the heat shield the sound was louder than after I installed it...

im not trying to eliminate it as its not really annoying to me but rather cool lol.
but i was trying to figure out what makes the sound
CAI = cold air intake

cel? as in acceleration? it woulnt give that much if any, it will just make your intake have a drone/sound
hes talking about if you have the injen intake, and you leave the snokle only, it will create a path way for the air/wind leading towards the intake cone. thus making it a CAI
