Default Help please (Starting/engine Problem)

I have a 1995 Lexus SC400 with 199,400 Kms and the ODD time when I start it, it will run real rough (sputtering, etc) and will ither go away in a matter of secconds by itself or by me punching the gas OR just die and not restart (tries to turn over but wont) for about 20 min or more, then it will start back up fine as if nothing happened. I have had to have it towed lots before. It USUALLY happens after its been sitting 2 or more days but not just when you go and start it, its after you have let it sat the days, started it up, parked it, and THEN it wont start! It seems to be at the most random times too! Its just a hassle because I cant take it anywhere because Im always stranded and Its been to mechanic after mechanic and they have no idea what the problem is because it wont act up for them (only me!!!). One said it was the MAF but another said the MAF checks out flawless same with the alt, battery etc. Its been scanned for codes, reads nothing, engine light comes on only sometimes when this happens, I think It might be from the cold weather, didnt do it in the summer and I live in BC so it is getting colder right now and I never had it last winter to know. This car has NO other known mechanical issues. I have had almost 50 cars and this problem has been the worst, logest and most annoying by FAR! PLEASE HELP!

Email: lasvegas87@live.com (feel free to email me or add me to MSN with any questions or answers)

Thanks

you have brought it to multiple mech. and they couldnt figure it out? hmmm

have you tried an engine cleaner like Rislone or anything like that?

this may sound stupid but your spark plugs are good right?

fuel injectors?

may also be the start of your head gasket going out?

Engine questions go in the engine (Performance) forum.

I think RedPhoenix had a problem like this a few months ago and turned out to be a bad ECU. I'll try to find the thread for you.
