92 SC400 Crossed Jumper cables - Battery Light?
ok, blew the fusable link crossing the jumper cables on a jump of this fine 92 sc400. Had a heck of a time gettng a new fusable link.
now, got her started, and the battery light is on. Yep, the alternator, or ???
I've checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood, I think?
I'm not in the mood to pull the alternator and have it bench tested?
any other ideas from the folks that know it all about these fine rides???
thanks!

Well the first thing I was going to mention was your alternator power fuse in your engine bay. Have you hooked up a volt meter to see if it is charging at all? I will say no to that because the battery light is on. The diodes in the alternator is the most possible cause for the light being on. When those go out and the rest of the alternator is fine that is the issue. You will probably have to replace that ,but they are a bit pricey. If you really want to get it rebuilt. Sucks that happened.
