more room? maybe in the back seat but a SC front compartment DWARFS a IS

and from what i've been told, the backseats on a IS are very small; while my SC can comfortably sit 4 adults

I know places have to make money. I understand business I think at $7500 for what you get in that kit they are probably making over $2000. I listed what I could do for the same price (which would be better fuel, better control, better turbo, better wastegate, and gauges) all for the same price. I still don't doubt the quality of the kit, but I do question the value. I don't think everything SP sells is perfect either (or perfectly priced). When I think something is ridiculous from anywhere I will say it

Perhaps we should just agree to disagree

All of the work I have ever seen from toyotmoto is absolutley top notch. They have every right to ask a certain price, but as a consumer I have every right to shop elsewhere and get more for my money

Can you honestly look at thay list I made and say it doesn't have nicer and more parts for equal or less money?

better is a matter of opinion...and your not counting on all the little but expensive pieces included in the kit such as fittings...lines...hoses...ect ect...and i dont know what toyomotos profit on each kit is......but it is worth the money and for some one who has over 100k into his lexus it makes me chuckle to see you talk about value ...lol....j/k im dying to see the completion of your car by the way Jeff

I'm *really* late into this thread. Been working waaaay too much...i rarely have time to post on the board anymore

Personally I had ordered the F-Max kit, and had enough time to cancel and get the Toyomoto one after I saw the build quality of both. I am thankful every day I went with the full Toyomoto kit instead of trying to put it together myself. Anyone that was on this board back in July of last year likely remembers all the hoopla I went thru arguing about turbo kits, parts, basically the same thing going on now.

I'm just glad I went with Toyomoto. The amount of tech support I got from Lance was *WELL* worth any amount of $$ more that his kit cost. I remember asking F-Max a couple questions about the kit, and they were clueless...that's pretty bad.

Explaining things to toyomoto over the phone, they were able to solve 110% of my problems. He even helped me when I went by their shop when the car was missfiring...and I never paid for installation. I only wish I lived or worked closer to the shop, so I'd have a chance to stop by there every once in a while. :/ It's not often you find a dealer that helps out at much as them. The kit is worth every penny.

Hey Scott, I was wondering....did you run that 12.73@116.90 on just the bolt on turbo? Or have you added some extra performance parts to your car as well. Thanks in advance!

12.7 was with no boost controller, no MSD box, but with the exhaust disconnected at the mid pipe, and was run at 11psi with some race gas. At that time, I didn't have the ability to turn it up to 18psi. There were no extra bolt-on performance aids, and it was run on an extremely hot day. BPU Supras couldn't even hit 12s on this day.

Since then, the boost controller and MSD box have added power. My traction and clutch have gotten worse, though. The 12.7 was on all-season SP5000 dunlops. (They suck).

what do you think your traps would be with the 10-12psi of boost you were running when you dynoed 423rwhp?

Configuration:
Pump gas 423rwhp
SP5000 Dunlops
10-13psi variable boost
12.9@113

Configuration:
Pump gas 423rwhp
Nitto 555R Drag Radials
10-13psi variable boost
12.4@114

Configuration:
116 octane 525rwhp (est)
SP5000 Dunlops
14-18psi variable boost
12.4@119

Configuration:
116 octane 525rwhp (est)
Nitto 555R Drag Radials
14-18psi variable boost
11.7@122

(For reference on the 12.7@117 run, was probably running 450-475rwhp.)

Scott, 2.3? Man, that's terrible. I'm sure with a DOT you could see a 2.0, maybe a 1.9 or better on a slick, don't you agree? (Assuming the clutch isn't slipping away any of that). Waitin' for the new timeslips, is the track open by you yet?
