Default 2jzge

yes, you can make 500hp with the 2jz easily, if you piece together a kit and do the work yourself.

setting the timing is easy.

set the motor to tdc.
the crank will be at 0* and the two marks on the cam gears point up at a 12 o'clock positions.
match up the marks on the distributor gear and the housing. you will see the casting marks.
if properly installed the rotor on the distributor will point at the 1-2 o'clock position.

good luck with the job.

damnn...

this little project has been a pain and has taken longer than i expected but thats cause im having to wait due to parts and tools im waiting for the last bit to come in today..

There is soo much learning to be done...

so much stufff to do..

just a bunch of little stuff keeps adding up.

oh and im having trouble find the polypropylene plastic...

* also when making the BFI im not sure how but im sort of lost lol
im following this guide here http://planetsoarer.com/BFI3/bfi3.htm

am i right when i say that they are doing this with the v8 correct?

*reason i am lost is because when i look at some of the pictures in the guide it does not look the same when it comes to my car. For Example: On the bottom on the 1st section in the link above there is a picture of a hole on the engine side where they covered it with plastic helping form a box... but in my car it does not look like that...

ahhhh so much going on lol

yes if im not mistaken the BFI is used more with sc400, because your not going to see much of a performance increase with the 300. but i mean if this is something you really want to do i dont see why you cant just take the same basic principle of the BFI for sc400 and apply that to the 300. i mean if you want to go through the work then go for it.

haha I know what you mean...easy in theory but kind of hard to execute...I ended up just cutting the airbox...sealing the hot air and creating the ram effect are too time consuming.
