It really is hard to beat the LSX power out puts from so little modding. It can be much more cheap. A 5.3L can be bought with wiring harness and motor for a few hundred dollars. Get on a LSX forum and pick up an LS6 intake for under a hundred dollars. Factory LS6 or LS3 exhaust manifolds, usally you can get these free. It can be done cheaper than most people think. But however the 1uz platform is really an un-charted HP maker. Some have untapped into the HP. But how much money will it take to get there. When you know how much it will take to get an LSX there.

And to metion it. My 1uz has over 200k miles and I just might as well do the swap. I will post pics and prices.

Another benefit is the 30mpg with the t56 6 speed on the LS1
