I rolled my rear fenders pretty cleanly. I only cracked the paint in one place because I pulled to far without heating that section up very much.

See, I did rent the roller tool, but it was not easy to do.

Maybe I'll try and find a shop that can do it.

You can just cut it. I took mines to a bmw shop called motorwerks. Im not really satisfied with the appearance of their job, but it doesnt rub anymore. I guess our rear fenders are too hard.

You have to keep heat on it, and remove the screwed on metal lining. After that, it's not hard at all. I did mine myself.

The fender lips are thick, 2 layers of sheetmetal with a gasket in the middle. I believe that is what Chris told me.

I think I'm going to cut them. Gotta go check out the BL cars again to see exactly how it's done.

I think think that the shop i took it to just sucks, or maybe they just didnt care about my car because there a bmw shop, but my fenders do not look clean.

Thanks Paco, I've only seen 3-4 other real Teal Mist cars and yours was one of them

I'm taking a breather. I didn't expect my brake system to be broken like it is.

I installed a new brake booster today, and I'm hoping the ABS unit or ABS ecu isn't broken.

As soon as I get my cluster back from Jedi Tweak, I'll continue on with the madness.

sweet thread.
Odd to see two new 1js in Austin.
I've got a 93 sc300 w/ a 1JZ in it, and a buddy from work has a JZA70 w/ a 1JZ, but I thought we were the only 1JZs in town.
God knows when I took my SC to Chris at Performance Motorsports, he and the BL guys were a little surprised at the differences in the 1JZ... nothing huge, but I got the feeling they don't see many of them here in Austin.

When you get it running, we should meet up some time.
Try to catch the MKIII supra hill country cruises... they're a good time.

Thanks, we should definitely meet up. I gotta get these brakes fixed. That's the only thing holding me back from driving it.
