Code P0385
So tonight my car stalled while I was letting it warm up so I went and purchased a CP9125 because AutoZone does not bring their reader out when its raining or snowing. When I hooked the reader up I got code p0385 and the book has that listed as crankshaft position sensor B Circuit Malfunction.
This is the sensor that runs behind the alternator, correct? I'm guessing this could be part of the reason why my idle was only around 400 RPMS lol.
Would the sensor from the 2jzgte work? Also is it possible that a bad crankshaft sensor could cause the engine to shift high.........doubtful but just checking?

my CEL is on when engine is cold, and off when hot. I have narrowed it down to the crank position sensor (code 13). I've changed just about everything else... so tired of sensors...

that's usually a pretty straightforward code... should be able to replace the crank sensor and be done with it... I think I would replace with the correct one - the chances of them being even slightly different may be high, but they may possibly be the same...
there is also a possibility that the crank "tone ring" is damaged, but I doubt it, though I have seen it happen...
