Default Just finished my auto to 5spd

i just finished bolting up every last part on my 5spd swap.
tried to start it up just a faint click and nothing.
did the little NSS relay thing. still nothing
did some searching and maybe its my bat. but i unplugged the neg side when i was doing my swap so i shouldn't have any draining problems. tried to jump but didn't start.
one question i do have is when i put my auto into neutral to take it out i accidentally push in back in park and the battery was unplugged so i had to pug the neg back in with the key in the on position and it made a weird sound maybe this is the culprit of my problem.
To do list clean battery terminals, check if my fuse is blown
not really sure what to do, i think it might be the started b.c i had to mess with it when taking out and putting in the trannys.
i want to drive my car please help me haha

Well, since you now have a manual you can push start it.

Did you jumper the neutral/park switch so that it will crank?

You didn't have to completely remove the starter when doing the swap. You just remove the two long bolts and let it sit.

If you did remove it double check to make sure that the power cable is bolted up nice and tight to the side if the starter and check to see that the tiny brown connector is actually connected to the side of the starter as well. That was my issue one time when I changed my clutch.

thanks guys it was just that i didn't wire the nss correctly. starts up every time now. but now a new problem it seems to idle very low at some times and when i slow down the car likes to shut off and i have to start it again with the key or compression start it. i really like compression starting my car b.c i am supposed to break in the clutch. dont think its the alternator b.c it starts right back up and keeps a charge, also just replaced it like a month ago.
just searched and found out you can take off the neg battery cable when the car is running and if it continues to run without the neg cable hooked up your alternators keeping the charge.

i did more research i think my problem is that i dont have a speedo sensor. anyone know if you can rewire the auto speedo sensor to a w58 speedo sensor. or do i need to buy a new speedo sensor for the w58. also i am leaking tranny fluid right where the driveline goes in the tranny small leak very slow but annoying. could the driveline be loose?

Output shaft seal needs to be replaced.

There are plenty of threads on here about the speedo drive, do a search and you should find what you are after.

Don't ever disconnect the earth or positive cable from the battery while the motor is running, it can cause the alternator to think it needs to charge at full rate and cause problems.

Matt.

i did some more searching, i had to switch up what i was searching for. found out you can simply plug in the auto (vss) speed sensor but you have to refab the bracket.
i thought this was do able when i was doing the swap but i couldnt get the old speed sensor off. is there a little trick you have to do to pull of the speedo sensor in the w58 i know theres the little nub you have to take off so it will spin. already took that nub off. tring to get the sensor out for like 30 mins already broke the sensor tring to take it off. so all you can see is the base of the sensor and the rod with the fins. now iam going to spray pb blaster over the biotch and wait.
