Just finished repinning 5 wires. Car starts up fine and runs great. No CEL.

Gonna street tune again.

Ah man, I hope you update with exactly what you did. I'm having the same problem. What I'm doing is a manual swap into my 96 gs300. I found a 96 SC300 5 spd ecu. I got past the MAF problem, needed to change to a 5v signal where the stock GS (hot wire? plastic MAF) originally wanted a 12v signal so the 5v off the tps.
My problem is still the CEL P0340 which is the Cam positioning sensor. Weird that there's so much wiring difference between the same year car in the GS and SC. So what did you do to eliminate that code? Thanks, I need to know asap.

Edit: BTW, I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere for a 96 or 97 SC. This is why I can't figure this out, would you mind posting up the wiring diagrams you found the differences with. Thanks again!

these are the wires and pins that I changed...

EGV - pin30 (maf ground, this fixed my MAF CEL)
FPU - pin36
HT - pin73 (Heater O2)
PS Pressure Switch - pin35
NE2 - pin6 (crank angle, got rid of the cam positioning CEL)

pins listed are for a 96 MT ecu

put over 1000 miles since rewiring...no CEL.

Any chance of going more into depth on which pin jumped to which pin? I'm still in a jam cause my GS300 is a 96' (which I don't have a diagram for either), Im not even 100% sure it carries the same wiring as the 97 SC? Im assuming so since I got the MAF and Cam positioning sensor codes.

goto Toyota and get the books for the GS300 or look online for an electronic wiring book/diagram for it.

I gave you the wiring pins for the 96 MT ECU. you need to find the wiring for your GS and cross reference with that.

I swapped over the B4 black wire to B6 and the red B26 wire over to pin B30 and I'm still getting the MAF and CPS code WTF!!
