washed engine bay - strange problem. need the experts

another pic.

you can see where i repaired the red and white wires. i did everything neatly and soldered and heatshrinked it

though it doesn't seem to matter because the car is still doing the same damn thing.

according to the wiring diagram, this plug is the bank 2 cam position sensor.

i am hoping i didn't screw up the ECU when those wires got yanked. they were touching together. i wonder what kind of havoc the ECU would go through if those CAS wires are touching together.

the weird thing is i noticed these yanked wires while the engine was running perfectly smoothly idling right after i started it cold... (before it starts the misfiring/dying.)

are you sure you dont have water inside the spark plug hole? i did the same thing but i also stick a chop stick down to the engine with some tissue and picked plenty of liquid off it. after that was done the car start up smooth.
