Hello all.
About a week and a half ago I bought a turbo on a whim for my engine. I knew this turbo was a bit big, but I got it today.
The package was 61lbs, and came in a wooden box that i could only open with a powered drill.
I don't even know what kind of turbo it is, as I can't ID the casting or Assembly numbers.
Here's a few pics:
Looks like a divided T4 flange (hopefully)
Here's a few pics for comparison:
KA24 rod and piston inside the compressor inlet:
Turbo next to a tall degreaser can:
On top of a friend's K20A3:
I do intend on making this work on my 2.5L 1JZ-GTE. The turbo has a 6" inlet, 5" exhaust, and looks pretty decent. Doesnt have much side to side shaft play, and no in and out play. the shaft spins freely, and didn't bind anywhere.
I'm going to do a fair bit of custom modding for this to fit, but i think it can be done on a budget. Don't want to run more than 10-20psi with a quick-spool valve, for fear of compressor surge.
I got it for 145 plus shipping
Let me know what you think.

Lawls. When you deal with tiny turbos all the time, it's a big deal when you can fist an inlet pipe.
I feel much better about spooling this, since people are spooling T88s, which are larger, with a 1JZ. A bit laggy, but nothing to worry about. I think I could get this thing spooling by 4k with cams and a quick spool valve. I'll see if I can find a smaller housing in the meantime.

I think you could switch out the exhaust housing with a hx40 I'm not too sure so you could spool it quick, but most of holset turbos spool very quick so you may be ok.
