You can open the cluster, and spray black down the middle PRND2L and it'll disappear.

Actually, the whole assembly does not come anywhere close to the exhaust manifolds. It has nothing to do with the swap actually.

The lines for the hydraulic throwout bearing are steel braided lines, not hard lines, so maneuvering them is not difficult at all.

What I have done is a 90* off the MC and then the line goes under the brake booster etc... and then into the bellhousing.

If you could take a picture of that area at your convenience that would be awesome, keep up the good work Matt!

How hard is it to remove the cluster and to open it up?
I removed my interior completely a few years back, but I forgot if you had to take anything else apart before you can remove the cluster?

Are you doing the hydraulic thrust setup? Sorry if I missed it in another thread.

edit: Found out why lol. Wasn't sure how your adapter setup was supposed to work, but since I see it mates the W58 to the stock 1UZ bellhousing, obviously there needs to be a different clutch setup. Do you just drill a hole in the bell to run the hydraulic lines through?

That's what it will do in the SC when you do a manual conversion with an auto cluster.

Ah, from what I had heard you can still see the PRND2L even when the bulbs are removed.
Know what I mean? When you look really closely, or there is light shining directly on it.
(When I said paint, I meant remove the bulbs as well as painting.)
Personally I would try and find the correct 5-Speed cluster and swap your odo over.

I was thinking the same thing. I have not seen a cluster apart from the backside, though. Perhaps OLT or someone else can post a couple of pictures of the PRND21 from the back?
