lmao.

i have the same problem, but i have a 92 sc 300 manual. I bypassed my fuel ecu. sometimes it will idle rough, or even die on startup, but after a few starts its fine...then sometimes i will drive it and the idle goes to crap again.

I'm about to be swapping a 1JZ in soon anyway, wasted enough time/money on it, and it dosent seem to be a huge problem really as its intermittent. so im not going to waste time trying to figure it out.

Okay so I did the ECU bypass and so far so good. Will the bypass change the fuel economy is it just simply changing the volts on the Fuel ECU?

no, it won't change anything except the voltage to the fuel pump, which is more flow. excess fuel goes to the return line.

Nice to know the bypass worked look for fuel pump relays on ebay they are sometimes available at low price when people tear down these cars... I've got my new one and still got to test if it will work.

Pull your codes for us man. Whether you have a CEL on or not you're ECU likely has stored codes from when the cutout happened. This same problem happened to me getting code 14- after a nightmare diag process I figured out it was a bad coil pack
