Update: The needles are back, and the cluster is completely redone. All new lighting with LEDS for the back lighting. OLT did a fabulous job on the needles. Will post pix tomorrow. At work tonight... Sorry! It looks so freaking amazing with the new needles and I went ahead and replaced all the inside lighting to blue. Now waiting on the climate thats should be here tomorrow or Tuesday.

Let me clarify.. The inside lighting is the cabin interior to blue, not the backlighting of the cluster. I thought it would be too much blue.. due to the interior. I ordered the high output leds from superbrightleds.com. They were the brightest twist locks they had. I am very happy with everything about the cluster now.

Thanks.. Will post even more once everything is back in and installed properly. I even redid the woodtrim again. I painted the vent pieces all high gloss... Looks even better now. Its drying as we speak.. Should be back in tomorrow morning.

Thumbs up

Heres another shot of the finished wood trim on the dash. The vents are high gloss black and the wood is a shade different than the doors. Just what I was after. I am overall happy with it finally.

Another one with the new climate control back in. Got it in the mail today. Thanks OLT! Have a nice pix of the interior lighting in the lighting section.

Maybe I should have put this picture with the DIY woodgrain removal that I did, but oh well.. Here you go! Not to good with a camera phone, and the lighting wasnt good. But you get the idea.

Sorry to revive an old thread. I just wanted to say thanks for the write-up and inspiration. Although I didn't get creative, I did change my background bulbs.

You can never bring up a old thread on here. I am glad you found it, and I could help you out. Your very welcome and I feel like I owe something back to the CL community with some of my ideas. Post some pictures of what yours look like.
