Anyone have troubles with their fuel pump ecu?
I think that might be the problem I'm having now.. was driving on the highway, downshifted to 4th and gave it gas, gas cut for a second and went back to normal. Got into the city, started happening a bit more often, then it eventually stalled and I couldn't restart the car.
I heard this might be the problem, and if anyone has experienced it?
I drive a 1993 Toyota Soarer TT with 91340 miles.

I am having a similar problem. I came off of the highway and downshifted and the car reved to about 1000rpm and cut. I was able to drive it home like this but i had to shift or it would cut. i have a greddy fcc so i am thinking this might be my problem or else the ecu. I have a sc w a 1j.

It's definitely your fuel pump ecu. What happens when they start crapping out is they develop intermittent faults between low and high speed operation (Low 9v to High 12v) causing the circuit to be stuck open. Eventually the ecu will stop working altogether, but mine worked off and on for some time.
Search the 12v Fuel Pump mod and bypass the ECU, works great, i have no issues with fuel pump operation after 1 year + with a walbro pump. Unfortunately, I have an issue with my ECU's Main Relay where the EFI main relay is stuck closed and my fuel pump dosent shut off when the key is off, so I had to wire a switch to break continuity between M-REL and the EFI relay.

if these cars didn't have the easily broken interior and all the unnecessary electrical crap they would be golden, and the supra guys would stare at us with envy while they eat our crumbs off the floor. hahaha

simple way to check this. in the diagnostic port under the hood, put a jumper wire from B+ to FP. this will only work on OBD1 cars. this will bypass the FP ecu all together. obd2 will not have all the pins in the port

I actually found out why my car crapped out on me that day. My fuel gauge was off.. apparently when it displayed 12L, I had 0L..
This happened right after I put Lucas Oil fuel injector cleaner.
