Default 95 Sc400 rear end help!

I've done some research but i think i am more confused about this topic.

My rear end is making a light clunking noise that i have been told is just backlash. is this a comon thing since the noise just started about a month ago. also the axle is making a "cracking" noise when i put it into gear

Heres whats symptoms
Put in gear hit gas cracking/ clicking noise in driver side.

cruise at 20 hit gas clunk, let off gas clunk

i bought one of those after market warentys and the warrenty company said that i can put "any parts i want stock or aftermarket" just so they have a warrenty and that they are put in by a mecanic that has a letter head

So im thinking new axle and LSD rear diff.

what can i put in the rear end that is bolt on??

is the supra tt rear diff bolt on??

Help me out guys

Thanks

i dont know what your clunk is but yes the supra diff is bold on. the supra diffs have different ratios, just make sure you know the gear ratio you are getting

Check your transmission mount if that is ripped in two that would make clunking noises.

now i am damn pissed off

my "rear end" noise is still not resolved.

the diagnosis was

1. rear end bushings? wrong

2. drive shaft bearing? maybe

3. axle? unlikely

4. ring and pinion slop? maybe

5. what is a slip yoke??

help me out guys
