Stock Clutch with Turbo

Stock Clutch with Turbo
Will this last at all? My clutch was replaced recently 96 5 spd.
Thinking of adding a small turbo and running 6-7 psi stock fuel system and compression and would rather not have to change it right away.
This car is my daily driver and Im not going to beat on it

great thanks, I have heavy cheap 20s on the rear and when I do a quick 1st - 2nd or 2nd to 3d it doesnt grab very well but otherwise it revs to 6500 and theres no slip. I figure I could put the turbo on and boost it a little and use it up and when it goes Ill change it but right now it's a shame to rip it out.
Whats the worse that can happen if I really toast the turbo with the clutch? Will need a new flywheel also?
thanks

thanks and Ive read the cheapest clutch that will hold for a turbo is about 400 bucks?
Can you guys tell me what clutch holds what power and how much it costs?
Also what is the labor charge like for doing the clutch?

The best bang for the buck is to get an RPS MAX pressure plate and use the stock Toyota disc (don't buy the kit if your disc is fine, just reuse yours). I'm on a used RPS turbomax 6 pressure plate with an ebay disc, I paid 120 for the setup (Supraforums), including shipping, and the clutch grabs amazingly. I dynod at 313whp, 320tq with no slip at all, and I'm sure it will hold more than the weak W58 can.

do supra guys do this? How much power have you heard it holds? so you are just changing the pressure plate, that is the problem not the stock disk material?
sounds risky for the labor if it doesnt work

It's not risky at all.
RPS MAX is (as advertised) an upgrade pressure plate and OEM TOYOTA DISC. The manufacturer lists this as holding up to 550ft-lb tq. If i'm not proof enough, OdyOwnage on www.clubna-t.com has this on his NA-T Supra with no issues at all. I would reccommend this to anyone. It's an awesome setup. I didn't even get an SC/Supra clutch, I got one from an IS300 and it works perfectly fine.

haha what it doesn't make sense?
Like I'll be driving to work and the grocery store I'm not going to be driving like a maniac, that's what the weekend car is for. I've had 130mph trap turbo car as a daily driver before so it won't be anything new to me where I'll want to drive it hard all the time. Its just that the 5 speed NA now is so slow that I can hardly pass anyone so it must be turboed
If the clutch lasts a year that would be awesome
