Default 1jz staying twin turbo, turbo options?

I looked around and can't find solid answers, and local car enthusiasts are clueless, since most of them runs Hondas or SRT w/ open dump...

Dynoed my stock twin turbo setup at 255 WHP on 13 psi. Want to go near 350-400 WHP with a twin turbo setup. What are some turbos that I can use that is a direct bolt on to the stock manifolds? Reason being I want to just swap out turbos and leave the manifold and DP stock so I won't need customizing. The manifold and DP I come across are for 2JZ or 1JZ Supra setup. Am I looking in the wrong places?

I have a S14 SR which is upgraded from stock turbo to a GT28 that is a direct bolt on, which is popular and I love the WHP. Would love to up the power out of my 1jz.

Read somewhere about Trust TD05 twin setup but not sure if they are direct bolt on. Then someone local mentioned the 20G for the DMS will bolt on direct... Any site offers more info or sells the turbos? CT26?

Any help is appreciated.

There are no bolt on for the stock manifold, that is why most go upgraded turbos when the stocks die.

Or just get a complete turbo kit for the 1jz, go single and your good...
Just do it and get it out of the way...

Thank you, I try.

Really prefer to stay twin, b/c I love the smooth pull. If I crave the neck snapping spool, I'll just jump in my S14. Guess I'll just have to try to see of the 20G works. Gonna hound that local guy for answers.

once again mis information. there were 2 kits that are not produced anymore one was an hks kit and the other was made by trust. as a matter of fact someone on supraforums just sold the hks kit. i know the hks kit uses the stock downpipe and it is very hard to tell the turbos are upgraded as most of factory equipment bolts on. the trust kit uses mitsu 16g turbos and hks wastegates and does not look stock

good luck finding any of these kits as they are no longer produced. now become enlightened. here is a link to pics and info on the trust kit

http://forums.performanceforums.com/...php?t=67214111

heres the supraforums link for the hks stock upgraded kit

Yeah those T2 series really rip your eyes out. You got alot of this backwards...... Smaller turbos offer totally different "necksnapping" curves. Larger turbos with the correct supporting mods, and proper tune, give you a "smooth" pull that the twins could never even dream of.

For every reason for staying with the twins, there are 10 for going single. End of story. The pull you want, the HP you want, is totally dependant on what tune you go with and how accurately you know how to match the turbo to your needs.

what about the 935 manifolds? I'm not a 1j guy but I hear the GT35 pulls really nice on the 1j.
