Default Soarer Shifter Extension question

Hey guys, i currently have a 95 sc400 with a JDM 2jzgte swap done and its auto..i want to convert it to 5 speed using a r154 tranny from a mk3 supra turbo...was wondering i know the shifter will be short and was thinking will a soarer extension do the trick? or do i have to send it to a place like driftmotion to get my shifter extended?

For the extension. Send it to BoostLogic, they make these.

You'll need a JZ bellhousing too.

Yes it will, do the soarer extension if you can find the parts. The R154 shifter is a big ***** and when you get into shortening it and playing with the trajectories it messes with the throw.

well i see that carslon toyota have them in stock..i see that the extensions are longer then the soarer...is this because the soarer extension is still short for a sc400 with a r154 tranny? and what other stuff other then the soarer housing is needed

here is an update..called boostlogic..they no longer do the extension for the housing...and i will do some more research and keep you guys updated...i saw pics of the soarer extension compared to one from driftmotion...i notice the driftmotion extension they make from your old one is longer then the stock soarer one..is there a reason they make it longer then the soarer stock housing?
