Default Passed

I passed emissions today but only cuz they gave me the pity pass. If you spend over 3 bills on repairs or parts they let you by with a waiver. Therefore they didn't do a sniff test on the car so I can't report any final NOx numbers.

I'll just reset the timing until the next retest 2 years from now, but I'm still curious where the problem was exactly. The car still runs strong and mileage is the same as it ever was after 175k.

I'll use the great info I got from this thread to pass for sure next time.

Thanks for your help everybody. CL rocks.

Only if you're in Commiefornia.

I have heard of this before, it is most likely your base timing or something is causing timing advance. if you had a good emissions guy, he would have manually retarded it for you to pass. only thing is then you have to make sure the other numbers dont go up to high.
