from all my searches I have come up with stock or supra stock - no noticiable vibration increase.

The only other alternative was the hockey pucks that many many people frown upon on this board. However I know many and have talked to a couple big HP domestic guys that use them.

Stock Supra seems to be the best.

MVP Motorsports or Power House Racing- or both make solid motormounts.

Megan makes some now: http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/part...inforced/12270

Also TRD Supra TT race engine mounts... If you have a newer SC you might have to get the newer brackets, but these engine mounts should bolt right in. Don't hold me to that- just suggestions, so you can further research..

Kazama
http://www.kazamaauto.co.jp/index.html

They offer two versions, the taller early model mounts and shorter later model ones. I have a 1997, so when I ordered them I gave them my year and I got the late model ones. Once I got the engine off the old blown factory mounts, install was a breeze. Went right in like factory. Engine is VERY solid now. As for downside, I have BFI and FULL exhaust, and this causes slight vibrations throughout the whole car. I can feel the manual shifter vibrating. Sometimes at cold idle I get a slight vibration from the gauge cluster area. Outside of car I can hear some part of the front bumper vibrating near the drivers side headlight. For reference, I have 152,000 miles.

You can find them at More-Japan.com and FRSport.com

Anyone know of a beefier mount for the W58 transmission? Or just 5 speed transmissions in general: W58/R154?

I have had both the PowerHouse Solid Mounts and the TRD's. IMO the solid mounts are overkill unless your in the 800whp+ club. The TRD mounts are a very good choice if your looking for something stronger than stock. I have read that these mounts can transmit a bit of vibration through the interior depending on how smooth or rough your engine runs. Though I have noticed no vibration from the TRD mounts. Hope this helps.

Default Motor mounts

As far as the actual motor mount brackets that bolt to the 1jz block, is there others besides the stock bracket that work on them ?

Scott,
You should have made those mounts before I put in the new engine. They look solid.
