Default Need a little help with the vpc/safcII/gcc combo

I've got an safcII I plan to use when I go na-t. Just wondering, can you just use the safcII to tune or do you need a vpc/gcc? I know the gcc eliminates fuel cut, which isn't necessarily a good thing for engine safety..

Just wondering if anyone can help me out as to what I would need to use in order to tune my car.

Thanks in advance.
