Hey Guys,

Just warning you im a newb to the 1JZ and turbo car world so please bare with me as I try to explain the problem im having.

I drive a 1991 Toyota Soarer with the 1JZ-GTE and when i got it back in october it drove beautiful and is quite fast and has been up until this passed week where im just not getting the power I used to.

Its hard to explain the issue but like I said I just dont have as much power but the turbos and everything seem to be fine through 1st and 2nd gear but once i get into 3rd and am steady at lets say 2500rpm ill press down on the gas and it will rev to 3900-4000rpm then drop down to 3000rpm and begin to pick up speed. Once I get up into 3500-4000rpm i can hear my turbos working. It seems to do this in 3rd, 4th and 5th, just no pick up at all. It will rev then drop back down like i was letting off the clutch or something.

boost leak? possibly only running on one turbo?


Any help would be great im scared this could be something big and costly.
