In that case, stick with the 4'' dp, and from there go 5''. No point in spending more downtime and money later, if your going to do it later anyway, why not do it now. Back-pressure is a thing of the past now, I say start going all out.

besides, seeing a 5'' exhaust under an SC would be enough for me to not even attempt to race it..regardless if it actually is making the power for it or not

Hey Chris you made a good point,do you think 5" will fit under the SC body with 1/2"or 2" drop on the front?
Do you think it will clear?

Im not sure who's Supra this is, but if he can fit 5'', I know it will clear under an SC. Sure you might scrape a little over bumps/driveways, but you cant deny it, it just simply make a statement not even running.

I didnt have a CEL issue when I removed my cats/resonators and went to 3'' pipe. I may have gotten lucky, but I dont see why you would have an issue.

1JZGTE ebay split dump pipe 3" out to split 3" Flowmaster outlaws. Lil on the loud side, looking for a high flow cat to make it sound a bit different. Also have a 3" electrical cutout for when I have the cat installed, I can still make it 100% open. Video on my build thread.
