Default neeed help. steering wheel goin crazy (moves on its own)

i just replaced my rack and pinion with one from the junk yard. im not sure what year it was but it was from a newer model than mine(92). but anyway now that i changed it my steering wheel moves on its own.. when i start to turn the wheel in either direction it starts the shake back and forth and is really hard to turn because whatever way i try 2 turn the wheel pulls the oposite direction and starts to shake.. i have no clue whats goin on.. i thought it could be the solenoid since it was from a newer sc so i swaped it with the one from the old rack and i still have the same problem any ideas on what can be the problem??

will try to get up a video of what its doin later today

^wow.......can honestly say that i've never seen that happen before....I'll ask some of the other mechanics at work after lunch if they've seen any similar problems in the past.

Your lines are backwards, reverse them and all will be well. If you havent busted the seals with all that shaking.

Bro my car was doing the same thing after the 2j swap. Your lines from the steering pump to the rack need to swapped around, it will go away. Then bleed the system well.
