Default SC400 Burnout

So this is my concern - My buddy has a 300zx automatic, when he puts it on Neutral and floors it then switches quick to Drive the car burns out

As for my super SC400, i do that, switch back to Drive and it does nothing, absolutely nothing

Weird? is that how these cars do it? is it the fourth solenoid?

Thanks again

P.S Automatic Transmission sucks b@lls

auto trannys just love neutral drops, your friends 300zx tranny wont last doing that, you should get 5spd then a turbo if you want to do burnouts

Yeah I cut the 4th solenoid and I could drop it at 3000rpm and it would rip. The 4th solenoid makes most of the decisions to slip the clutch and makes smooth engagement. Without the 4th, the clutch just drops really fast. When I shift to D at idle without braking it would chirp the tires.

How do you "cut" the 4th solenoid? Im askin for a reason, not for a burnout lol

Cutting as in cut the wire to the solenoid. There is a thread on it. Search for kc95sc400.

Yeah...the point of cutting the 4th solenoid so it fools the computer to make the clutch doesn't want to slip between shifts thus lengthens the life of the clutch and increase performance. It'd be like fast shifting in manual.

What I have in my 94sc4 is a BFI, Straight pipes, Lextreme TC and 18" Chrome wheels which I am most certain are playing a role in making the take off a little sluggish (the wheels that is)

What are the slight mods you had done?

Just an FYI, I would not do that for show off for I know how bad it is from the tranny, however lately I have noticed a lot of sluggishness from 0, and the car wouldn't shift from 2 to 1 when you kick down at 20 MPH which it used to do before - I am conducting a bunch of tests

one thing that made it better is DC'ing the AFM - This was mentioned in a lot of threads I won't discuss it in this one -

So mainly what I understand from you guys is that this is normal if the 4th solenoid is not disconnected?
