Default Proper Intake?

Alright everybody, I feel like I'm going to go insane here. I've been searching for a very long time now, trying to find an Intake(Short Ram and Cold Air) for my 2000 SC300. The only thing is, the ones that keep popping up are the ones from 1995 to 1997, and I keep hearing that those won't fit at all on the 2000 model. And yes, before anyone says it, I've tried Search, and my Search-Fu is weak. So, if anybody could help me out here, that'd be great.

-Thanks!
-Matt

I'll honestly do anything to get rid of the stock airbox. I hate the damned thing. Something about it always bothered me and detracted from the rest of the engine.

But would the IS300 one fit?

The is300 one would fit because you have the same 2jz-ge vvt-i engine as the is300.
It is weird, but I dunno, I just dislike the look a whole lot. And when you say it's superior, do you mean gains-wise? Say I were to drop an Injen one or something similar in there. Would I lose power instead?

+1- True that - Cold air = scam. The factory DID NOT make a mistake like not getting enough cold air into the engine. Millons upon millions of $$$ in R+D only to leave HP on the table my not getting enough air?

Waste of money IMHO unless you really spin the engine or increase displacement. You might actually lose HP as well as cook MAF sensors from the oil on the filter.

The only upside is if your engine is now pulling in more power at the top-end, but in the real world on na, its going to pull slightly more air because your filter is now filtering out less particles.

On a car like a 2jz or 1uz which already has a good stock air intake, those aftermarket ones are a complete waste of money.
Hmmm, then it'll stay. I dunno why I don't like it's look, but if it's better, it's better.

If you don't like the look, do a mod called BFI. Search for it and you should get better results than buying aftermarket intake.

I thought you were going to boost your SC? just do a BFI if you want a better intake than stock. for a little more than the price of an Injen intake you can get the T61 from XS Power.
