weird noise
Hi, I have a problem.
I have a 5spd 1996 sc3.
whenever I put it in first and go. If I dont give enough gas there is this weird sound that happens.
Im not talking about that vibrating thing that happens because thats completely normal.
Im talking about a clanky kind of noise, as if something were loose.
Imagine having a penny in a glass bottle and shaking the penny. Kind of like that.
And Its really loud whenever imat a drive-thru or something similar because of the echo obviously.
But its really annoying and im curious as to what it might be if anyone has had this problem before.
And im not car mastermind so if you try to say some names I might not know what it is and how to fix it. Im just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and what they did to fix it.

check the front exhaust hanger on your midpipe/downpipe, it may be broken.
one side connects to the flange where your midpipe and downpipe are, and the other side connects close to your transmission. when it brakes or cracks you get this wierd noise when taking off from a stop/ when the car vibrates the most. once moving it goes away. simply bend it to the side or get it rewelded if that the culprit. had that problem in my first SC.
